The Asia-Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) and the REDtone IoT Sdn Bhd have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to build industry capable talent for IoT industry, supporting the collaborative research in industry relevance areas and exploring research funds for R&D in the areas of Internet of Things.

Specifically, both parties will cooperate to develop:

  • APU curriculum development – one or more IoT modules may use REDtone IOT platform as a tool to demonstrate the usage of IoT.
  • REDtone IOT smart city application – APU student community can be the testing ground for any REDtone IOT applications.
  • APU can support the REDtone IOT development project by providing Final Year Project and internship students.

It is wonderful that we have been given this opportunity to partner with APU and we are excited to support in growing the IoT ecosystem. We need more talents in IoT, and we are happy to see APU use our IoT platform as part of their projects and Lab work, “ said Dr. Mazlan Abbas, CEO REDtone IoT.

REDtone IoT was named “Malaysia Innovative Smart City Solution Provider of the Year” in 2016 by Frost & Sullivan and also received a Merit recognition in e-Government and Public sector category, APICTA 2016.
