One of the best consumer IoT application is Smart Home. The interest has grown when the technology has becoming more matured and easy to install. There are many smart home devices that people can purchase online. Big names such as Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, Amazon, Google and others have play a big part in making this part of our daily lives. It’s no longer a luxury because with a simple Intelligent speaker like Amazon Echo and Google Home, you can now control your home devices.
Many have also installed IP cameras to monitor their house from remote and have motion sensors to detect any intruder. Hopefully, in future we will see more Smart Homes are installed by default when you purchase your new house. Housing developers will need to compete with each other by value-adding their property with smart solutions that will attract customers.
