A better way of learning to build IoT solutions that can really solve actual problems is to see around you. For example, in the campus, where all the infrastructure which includes roads, vehicles, houses (dorms) or offices (lecture rooms) are operating like a small city. There’s bound to be many assets that need to monitored and maintained. And many more services can be offered for the campus community.

Thus, learning IoT is not all about the theory, but value-add the knowledge by solving real problems. It’s easier to test the prototypes in a controlled environment whereby the decision making process is not as complex as a big city. Thus, having a unified IoT platform such as Favoriot, can ease the collection of all sensors within the campus and integrate them into a campus dashboard.
