UTHM and FAVORIOT Sign MoU to Advance IoT Education through Teaching Factory and FKEE Collaboration

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and FAVORIOT Sdn Bhd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in academic, research, and development initiatives, with a key focus on integrating Internet of Things (IoT) learning and certification into the Teaching Factory ecosystem and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FKEE).

The MoU was formally signed by Professor Ts. Haji Fawzi bin Mohd Ali, Vice-Chancellor of UTHM, and Dr. Mazlan Abbas, CEO and Co-Founder of FAVORIOT and the exchange of MOU was handed over by Deputy Dean of FKEE, AP. Dr. Razali at FAVORIOT’s office.

This partnership signifies a strategic milestone in embedding FAVORIOT’s IoT Professional Certification into UTHM’s Teaching Factory model — an innovative educational framework that emphasises hands-on, industry-integrated learning. Through the collaboration, UTHM FKEE students and lecturers will gain direct access to the FAVORIOT IoT Platform, empowering them to design, develop, and deploy real-world IoT solutions aligned with Malaysia’s Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) aspirations.
