I opened the analytics dashboard for iotworld.co and just stared at the bars rising and falling month by month. “Is this for real?” I thought to myself. The story those numbers were starting to tell wasn’t just about traffic. It was about reach, resonance, and connection across countries and communities that cared about the Internet of Things as much as we do.

Let’s unpack the journey of IoT World in 2025 — the milestones, the momentum, and the posts that drew the most attention.

The Numbers That Shaped Our Year

When the year began, I had a quiet hope that our voice in the IoT space would find readers who cared about thoughtful analysis, practical projects, and real-world context. By December 26, the year’s performance looked like this:

  • Total Views: ~19,900 — up 17% year-over-year
  • Unique Visitors: ~13,400 — up 6%
  • Likes: ~2,300 — up an astonishing 7,190%
  • Comments: 9 — up 13%

Those aren’t just figures on a chart. There are moments when someone stops, engages, and chooses to spend time with our content.

The monthly view trends tell a story of consistency. March and April were powerful, perhaps because of deep dives that helped readers make sense of complex IoT topics. There’s a steady stream of interest throughout the middle of the year, and December wrapped up with heightened engagement — a rewarding sign that our work continued to matter late into the year.

I remember thinking, “Alright, this isn’t a flash in the pan — you’re building a home for ideas, not just posting articles.”

Where You’re Reading From

The geographic spread of our readers says so much about the global appetite for IoT insights:

  1. Malaysia — 6,151 views
  2. United States — 3,754 views
  3. India — 2,770 views
  4. Singapore — 507 views
  5. United Kingdom — 477 views
  6. Philippines — 448 views
  7. Indonesia — 413 views
  8. China — 375 views
  9. Pakistan — 319 views
  10. Ireland — 304 views

Malaysia’s emerging as the top source of traffic was particularly meaningful. It reflected not just readership but the regional relevance of the content we’re creating. It reminded me that thoughtful tech writing can spark conversations far beyond Silicon Valley or Western tech hubs.

And as I saw the map light up with colour, I thought, “If even one reader in every pin on this map took an idea from us back into their work or community, that’s impact.”

What Drove Traffic

The sources of traffic tell a fascinating story:

  • Search Engines — ~5,042 views
Organic discovery remained strong. People were looking for answers and landing on our insights.
  • WordPress.com Reader — ~2,428 views
Loyal readers returning for fresh posts and updates.
  • Facebook — ~1,868 views
Community shares and discussions continue to drive referral traffic.
  • chatgpt.com — ~407 views
This one always makes me smile because it hints at AI tools helping readers discover our content.

Other referrers, such as platform.favoriot.com, LinkedIn, and perplexity.ai, drove consistent, targeted traffic from professional and tech-oriented audiences.

Seeing the variety of referrers made me think “Your voice starts with content but finds wings through discovery.”

Reflection: What Does This All Mean

When I started IoT World, it was rooted in a simple belief: that the Internet of Things should be more accessible. Technical concepts shouldn’t be locked away behind jargon. Real stories from real projects matter. Insights should invite questions, not shut them down.

Looking back at the stats from 2025, I feel a quiet pride that matches an active curiosity about what’s next.

From the nearly 20,000 views to the thousands of unique visitors to the readers in more than a dozen countries who tune in consistently, this year confirmed something important: people value grounded perspectives on technology that connect with their work and their world.

And if one person used our content to launch an IoT prototype, or helped explain a concept to a colleague, or even just took a moment to think differently about technology — that makes every article worth it.

What’s Next

2026 is shaping up to be an even more exciting chapter. I’m planning deeper technical tutorials, more profiles of IoT innovators, and practical pieces that help you make sense of emerging trends and tools.

But before we move too far into predictions, I want to hear from you:

Which article this year helped you most? What topic do you want to see covered in 2026?
