Majlis Perbandaran Kemaman gets new channel for citizen engagement

KEMAMAN: REDtone IOT released another feature for CitiAct users of Kemaman called CitiAct-to-WhatsApp. Even though the local city council, Majlis Perbandaran Kemaman has already multiple communication channels for the public such as telephone, Web, Fax and CAKNA, it does not end there. Any CitiAct users whether they are locals or visitors can help MPK in making a better city by identifying areas for improvement such as unattended garbage, potholes, drainage issues, illegal parking, broken traffic light, stray animals, etc.
How does it work? Here’re the steps:

  1. Launch CitiAct. Download from iOS App Store or Google Playstore
  2. Snap a photo
  3. Write a short description
  4. Click, “Submit.”
  5. A report will automatically generate and send to Majlis Perbandaran Kemaman WhatsApp number.
  6. Since MPK also have an email address, a copy of the report will also be sent to this channel.
