Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – February 23, 2025 – FAVORIOT, a leading IoT platform provider, has launched its IoT Certification Program in collaboration with polytechnics, colleges, and universities across Malaysia. This strategic initiative aims to equip students and professionals with essential IoT skills, fostering innovation and industry readiness in the rapidly evolving digital economy, with a strong focus on enhancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) skills.
The certification program will cover various aspects of IoT, including IoT fundamentals, cloud integration, data analytics, and real-world applications. Through hands-on training and access to the FAVORIOT IoT platform, students will gain practical experience in developing and deploying IoT solutions, aligning with Malaysia’s efforts to strengthen TVET competencies among students and professionals.
“Our mission has always been to empower the next generation with future-ready skills. By partnering with educational institutions, we are bridging the gap between academia and industry needs, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the demands of the IoT-driven world,” said Dr. Mazlan Abbas, CEO and Co-founder of FAVORIOT.
As part of this initiative, educators participating in the program must pass the FAVORIOT Professional Certificate Exam to qualify as certified trainers. This requirement ensures high-quality instruction and enhances the credibility of IoT education within Malaysia’s TVET ecosystem.
Students will have two pathways to obtain the FAVORIOT IoT Certification:
- Integration into the Curriculum – Educational institutions can embed FAVORIOT content into their syllabus and laboratory sessions, ensuring students gain hands-on experience throughout their studies.
- Short-Term Training Programs—Institutions may offer separate short training programs in which students can enroll and complete the certification over a defined period.
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s push toward digital transformation and Industry 4.0, addressing the growing demand for IoT professionals. Participating institutions will integrate the certification program into their curricula, offering students a competitive edge in the job market.
FAVORIOT’s IoT Certification Program will also be available for industry professionals seeking to upskill or reskill in IoT technologies. With certifications recognized by industry leaders, graduates will have enhanced employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Educational institutions interested in joining the program can contact FAVORIOT for partnership opportunities. This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students and professionals, positioning Malaysia as a hub for IoT talent development, strongly emphasising TVET skill enhancement.
