FAVORIOT proudly conducted its IoT Fundamentals with FAVORIOT Platform training for the dedicated team at University College of Agroscience Malaysia (UCAM), one of FAVORIOT’s valued education partners. The session was held from 28 to 30 April 2025 at UCAM’s campus, bringing together lecturers and technical staff eager to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in IoT.
This comprehensive three-day programme introduced participants to the core concepts of the Internet of Things using the FAVORIOT platform. The focus was clear: empower UCAM staff to develop Smart Agriculture solutions that address real-world challenges in modern farming. From sensor connectivity to real-time data monitoring and dashboard creation, the training combined theory with hands-on exercises tailored for agriculture applications.
By the end of the course, participants successfully learned how to:
- Set up and connect IoT devices to the FAVORIOT platform
- Monitor and analyse critical parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, and humidity
- Design dashboards for visualising agricultural data in real time
- Create alert systems to support decision-making for smarter farming
The outcome? A stronger foundation for UCAM’s team to guide students and drive IoT-based agricultural innovations forward.
